1 tablespoon Lemon Juice or 1 teaspoon Vanilla Essence
4-5 tablespoons Milk
Salt
Instructions
Mix refined flour, baking powder, baking soda, and a pinch of salt in a bowl. Sieve this mix three to four times. Keep it aside.
Now mix sugar and butter in a blender. Add one egg to this and blend again. Keep adding one egg at a time and continue blending the mixture. Also, add lemon juice or vanilla essence to this batter.
In a big bowl mix the dry ingredients of step one with the above-prepared batter. Add milk if the batter is stiff and whisk the batter well.
Pour half the batter in another bowl. Sieve cocoa powder and add to this batter. Mix it well.
Grease a baking pan with butter and dust with refined flour. Pour the pain batter and then the chocolate batter to create layers of both.
Preheat the oven at 180 C.
Place the baking tray in the oven at 180 C for 30 minutes. To check if it's fully cooked, put a toothpick or knife in the middle of the cake. If the toothpick comes out clean the cake is ready. If not, bake for five more minutes.
Enjoy the warm yummy cake with a cup of tea or coffee!
